In the Medicine Woman Tarot, Carol Bridges honors the Medicine Path – the Native American way of healing and restoring balance. This deck is oriented toward women, but Bridges believes that men too will find renewal in working with the female energy of this deck. She believes that the feminine aspect is needed to bring balance to our society. The images have a circular motif, and women are often the main characters. Each Major Arcana card has two titles – the traditional one and a new one suggesting one quality of the card. The original cards from 1986 were black and white line drawings in ink. The 1990 version is colored. There is a separate companion book for this deck called The Medicine Woman Inner Guidebook: A Woman’s Guide to Her Unique Powers.
